Broker Debbie Smith of WEICHERT, REALTORS� - Carroll & Company recently completed the Weichert� Management Academy, four days of educational sessions covering all aspects of the Weichert way of doing business. Held in September at the Hilton Inn, Naples, Florida, the Academy program is a requisite training course for new members of the Weichert Real Estate Affiliates network. New and changing management staff members from the system's existing franchises are also encouraged to attend.
The sessions are directed by Vice President of Business Development Kirk Miller, assisted by the all-Realtor management team from Weichert headquarters in New Jersey. "The Academy provides the tools to give new Weichert� franchisees a solid foundation and the confidence to manage their businesses as never before," Miller said. "Some of what we cover is not new to established brokers and managers, but most of it is quite an eye-opener."
Smith participated in a concentrated, accelerated program emphasizing recruiting, training and career development, systems installation and business planning, while further defining the support systems and tools that are unique to the organization.
Weichert affiliates President Martin J. Rueter said, "These people are already at the top of their field, or they wouldn't be here, but it's our policy, as well as our promise, to show them the time-proven Weichert way."
